These changes dictate what doctors can charge the workers\u2019 compensation insurer for different services.\u00a0 A copy of the current Nevada Medical Fee Schedule can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dir.nv.gov\/uploadedFiles\/dir.nv.gov\/content\/WCS\/Features\/2023%20MFS%20final.pdf\">here<\/a>. (Summary below)<\/p>\n<p><strong>PERMANENT PARTIAL DISABILITY REIMBURSEMENT<\/strong><br \/>\nNevada Specific Codes:<br \/>\nNV01000 Review records, testing, evaluation, and report (includes evaluation of up to 2 body parts)\u00a0 \u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026..$950.04<\/p>\n<p>NV01001 Failure of an injured employee to appear for appointment &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. $317.29<\/p>\n<p>NV01002 Addendum necessary to clarify original report &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..No charge<\/p>\n<p>NV01003 Addendum after review of additional medical records &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;. $317.29<\/p>\n<p>NV01004 Review of medical records and evaluation of each additional body part in excess of initial 2 body parts .. $317.29<\/p>\n<p>NV01005 Organization of medical records in chronological order based on the date of service&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. per 50 pages $53.51<\/p>\n<p>NV01006 Review of records and report\u00a0 &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; $474.08<\/p>\n<p>*Nevada Specific Code NV01001 may only be billed if an injured employee is more than 30 minutes late for a scheduled appointment or cancels the appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled<br \/>\nappointment.<\/p>\n<p>The medical records must be in a printable format and include a cover sheet indicating the number of pages provided to the physician or chiropractor.<\/p>\n<p>All medical records are to be provided to the evaluator in chronological order based on date of service.\u00a0 Separating chronologically organized therapy notes is acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>For the purpose of establishing the maximum allowable payment for the review of medical records and the evaluation of musculoskeletal body parts, the following constitute one body part:<br \/>\na) The cervical spine<br \/>\nb) The thoracic spine<br \/>\nc) The lumbar spine<br \/>\nd) The pelvis<br \/>\ne) The left upper extremity, excluding the left hand<br \/>\nf) The right upper extremity, excluding the right hand<br \/>\ng) The left hand, including that portion below the junction of the middle and lower thirds of the<br \/>\nleft forearm<br \/>\nh) The right hand, including that portion below the junction of the middle and lower third of the<br \/>\nright forearm<br \/>\ni) The left lower extremity<br \/>\nj) The right lower extremity<br \/>\nk) The head<br \/>\nl) The trunk<br \/>\nm) Post-traumatic Stress Disorder Impairments (NRS 616C.180)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2010\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2010\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"https:\/\/jhwlawoffice.com\/nevada-workers-comp-law-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/medical-doctor.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2010\" src=\"https:\/\/jhwlawoffice.com\/nevada-workers-comp-law-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/medical-doctor.jpg\" alt=\"PPD Exam cost rises in 2024 - Workers Compensation Law Blog\" width=\"600\" height=\"900\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jhwlawoffice.com\/nevada-workers-comp-law-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/medical-doctor.jpg 600w, https:\/\/jhwlawoffice.com\/nevada-workers-comp-law-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/03\/medical-doctor-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2010\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Free photo <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/doctor-free-stock-photography-image-free-17821577\">17821577<\/a> \u00a9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/petrkurgan_info\">Petrkurgan<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dreamstime.com\/\">Dreamstime.com<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><strong>Why would an Injured Worker Have to Pay for a PPD Rating Out-of-Pocket?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Two of the most common reasons an injured worker may have to pay for a rating out-of-pocket include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Situations in which the insurer is attempting to close the claim without a rating;<\/li>\n<li>And when the injured worker disagrees with the resulting percentage from a prior rating evaluation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Why you should contact an Attorney if your Workers Comp Claim is being closed without a PPD Evaluation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>It used to be that an injured worker had to pay for a PPD exam when the insurer closed the claim without a PPD.
